Speaking Topics

Bethany is experienced speaking to church groups as well as in business settings. She also has several years experience speaking to youth groups. Bethany is able to write a talk on any topic that fits your group’s needs. However, she does have a few talks already prepared in case you don’t have a topic already in mind.

Finding Joy in Life’s Trials

Focusing on James 1:2-3, Psalm 126:5, and 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, this talk takes a look at how to find joy in the Lord when life is hard. Joy is not a feeling, but rather a gift from God, given to us through the Holy Spirit. We must become intimate with God to learn how to utilize this gift, even when our life looks bleak. This talk is adapted from this blog post.

Running the Race of Faith

Focusing on James 1:3-4 and Hebrews 12:1-2, this talk delves into what it means to remain steadfast in the Lord. Steadfastness, or patience, in the original Greek is an active verb, meaning that we don’t wait on the Lord by sitting idly by, but by working hard through whatever lays in our path, much like one would train for a marathon. This talk is adapted from this blog post.

Bullet Journaling: Organizing Your Busy Life

Ephesians 5:15-17 says, “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” This talk is a practical guide to help you organize your responsibilities so that you may make the best use of your time and glorify the Lord.
